During the month of April, Erik Eidukas, Franky Martinez and myself formed Team DarkNauts and put together a short animation in hopes of getting into the annual Siggraph FJORG! competition, an international animation event.

It was a great small production experience, with very firm deadlines and high ambitions. A lot of the tools in the Technical Projects section came as a result of the need to optimize production in order to finish on time.
It was well worth it in the end as we were selected as one of the 16 teams from the world to compete! It was a once in a lifetime experience. Go here for more information about the FJORG! competition.
Update: The FJORG DarkNauts Reel won an award for Best Team Animation at ARTimation 2008 Digital Arts Festival hosted by The Illinois Institute of Art - Schaumburg. We are very excited and want to thank the judges and everyone that came out to the screening.
